The University offers discounted permits to employees who commute with two or more individuals in one vehicle. To take advantage of carpool savings, all participating members must have a registered vehicle and work similar hours. In addition to using less gas, you’ll also benefit from substantially reduced parking rates. The amount of savings – which ranges from 50% off annual parking rates to FREE parking – it depends on the number of people carpooling.

Each participant must:
- register a separate vehicle;
- work similar work hours; and
- work in a University location where parking permits are required.
Where 合伙使用汽车 Permits Are Valid
合伙使用汽车 permits are valid for the lot that is written on the permit. 合伙使用汽车 permit holders may also park in:
- College Town Garage (Lot 33) after 2 p.m.
- Lot 3-Kendrick North and Lot 8-MRB after 5 p.m.
- Strong Memorial Hospital Garage after 6 p.m.

Each carpool group is assigned one hangtag carpool permit to share. The permit will state the parking lot assignment. The permit allows you to park in the same lot as the carpool lot, or, in the case where riders are split between campuses, you can make arrangements to park in the lot closer to your worksite.

If the carpool group is disbanded or a carpool participant cannot remain in the carpool group, the 停车 Office must be notified. The participant(s) must return their permit(s) and lockbox, and a new permit will be issued for a lot that is currently available.
